Brownstein Adds Two of Counsel

Justin Lerner and Abby Dvorkin

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck announced Wednesday that Abby Dvorkin and Justin Lerner have joined the firm as of counsel in the Denver office.

Dvorkin, who joined the firm’s litigation department, focuses on contract drafting and negotiation and advising and representing developers and construction professionals. She has a background litigating complex construction defect matters, disputes over contractual obligations and business torts and defending design professionals against malpractice claims. Prior to Brownstein, Dvorkin worked as a consulting attorney for multiple law firms, including Brownstein, providing counsel on various transactional and civil litigation matters.


Dvorkin received a law degree from Suffolk University Law School and a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University.

Lerner will join the firm’s real estate department. Prior to Brownstein, Lerner co-founded Lerner Zandi, where he represented clients on real estate and corporate transactions including commercial office and retail leases, subleases, joint ventures and licensing agreements. Before that, Lerner led the legal department of a venture-backed startup, where he provided counsel to all departments within the company and oversaw the growth of the company’s national real estate portfolio and he also worked as an attorney at Fried Frank, where he handled some of the largest and most complex real estate transactions in New York and nationally.

Lerner received a law degree from New York Law School and a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
